Day 1–2

Settling In

  • Let puppy explore one room at a time
  • Show crate with treats — don't force entry
  • Establish potty spot and take puppy out every 30-60 min
  • Keep things quiet — no visitors yet
  • Feed same food + schedule as breeder
Day 3–4

Building Routine

  • Start consistent feeding schedule (3x daily for puppies)
  • Introduce basic name recognition with treats
  • Begin gentle crate training — short periods (5-10 min)
  • Clean facial wrinkles daily with puppy wipes
  • Begin potty training pattern: after meals, naps, play
Day 5–7

Expanding World

  • Schedule first vet visit (within 72 hours of purchase is ideal)
  • Introduce short supervised interactions with household members
  • Start 'sit' command using positive reinforcement
  • Extend crate time gradually (15-30 min)
  • Begin handling exercises: paws, ears, mouth (for future grooming/vet visits)

DHPP vaccine (1st dose)

Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus

DHPP (2nd dose) + Bordetella
