Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

FrenchieCheck may collect the following when you use a feature:

  • Email address — when you submit it for a newsletter, contact request, or optional result follow-up.
  • My Frenchie account details — your account email, saved Frenchie profiles, Terms of Service agreement, and optional email-update preference.
  • Uploaded photos — sent to the configured AI service to process the requested image analysis.
  • Submitted form information — such as the selected tool, locale, consent choice, and a short result summary, which may be stored in our configured Google Sheet for operational follow-up.
  • Website analytics — Vercel Analytics runs without cookies after you acknowledge the updated notice, unless you turn it off. It may process page paths, safe UTM campaign tags, referrer hostnames, approximate location by country (which may include city), device type, browser, operating system, and a request-derived hash that resets after 24 hours. We remove other query parameters and exclude My Frenchie pages. We do not send account emails or Frenchie profile details to this analytics tool.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To respond to requests and provide the feature you asked for.
  • To understand aggregate traffic patterns by page, referrer, approximate location and device/browser, and to maintain the website. Vercel Analytics runs after the updated notice is acknowledged even when optional tools are rejected, unless you turn off visitor statistics.
  • To record an optional interest in future updates when you separately choose that option. The current application does not provide email delivery.
  • To secure, maintain, and improve the website.

3. Data Retention

Uploaded images are processed for the request and are not saved in the application's own database. The configured AI provider may process them under its own terms; this policy does not promise a provider retention period. My Frenchie account details and consent choices are stored in the private Firebase account. Email addresses and operational form entries in Google Sheets are retained until deleted or no longer needed for the stated purpose. Contact us to request deletion. Vercel says its request-derived visitor hash resets after 24 hours. Retention of aggregate analytics reports follows Vercel's service terms and the reporting window of our plan.

4. Cookies

Necessary local storage remembers your choice and this notice version. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies; it runs after you acknowledge the updated notice, even if you reject optional tools, unless you choose “Turn off visitor statistics.” It receives public-page data with non-UTM query parameters removed, and My Frenchie pages are excluded. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to measure site usage, and Speed Insights loads only after you accept optional tools. This application does not load Google advertising. Use the control below to change your choices.
