FrenchieCheck

About FrenchieCheck

Practical informational tools and care guides for Frenchie owners.

Who We Are

FrenchieCheck is an independent educational project created by Sami Hafid. It focuses on practical questions about French Bulldog breathing, skin, eyes, food, and everyday care.

The project uses AI-assisted drafting and research workflows, followed by editorial review against cited veterinary and animal-care sources. Sources are included where they support a specific claim, and online information is not presented as a diagnosis.

FrenchieCheck offers free calculators, quizzes, guides, and an AI-assisted photo tool. It does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or professional veterinary review. Use a qualified veterinarian for examination, diagnosis, and treatment.

Why Frenchies Are Different

Flat face

Short-nosed anatomy can affect airflow and heat tolerance in some Frenchies. Noisy breathing or reduced exercise tolerance should be discussed with a veterinarian.

Compact body

Heat, humidity, exertion, stress, and individual airway health can affect how a Frenchie copes with warm conditions. Avoid relying on a single temperature rule.

Sensitive skin

Skin folds, allergies, parasites, irritation, and infection can all cause similar signs. Keep care gentle and seek veterinary advice for persistent or worsening changes.

Heavy build

Mobility changes can involve the spine, hips, kneecaps, paws, or nerves. A new limp, weakness, or pain needs an examination rather than a breed-based assumption.

Our Mission

Every Frenchie owner deserves clear, breed-specific information. FrenchieCheck keeps its tools free to use and helps owners prepare questions for routine veterinary care. The site cannot prevent every illness or emergency and should not replace professional advice.

How We Prepare Content

Editorial and source review

We check wording, sources, limitations, and safety before publishing updates.

FrenchieCheck is an independent educational project created by Sami Hafid and maintained by its editorial team. Content may begin with AI-assisted drafting and research, then receives human editorial review against cited veterinary and animal-care sources. We do not have a veterinary reviewer, and no article should be treated as a professional veterinary review, diagnosis, or treatment plan.

Transparency: AI-assisted drafts and tool output are informational only. A qualified veterinarian should handle diagnosis, treatment, and urgent concerns.

Sources before certainty

When a topic needs evidence, we look first to veterinary schools, professional organizations, official guidance, and peer-reviewed research.

Limits in plain language

Guides and tools explain what can be observed online and what needs an in-person examination. They do not diagnose, prescribe, or clear a concern as safe.
